EnVie Lounge www.EnVieDowntown.com (out of business) EnVie Lounge's site is a completely interactive PHP and MySQL based site for a Fort Myers, FL nightclub. The site allows users to go online, make an account, and view event pictures, leave picture comments, even send messages. The site also features a custom music player written in HTML, JavaScript, XML, and PHP that is fed off a custom ASX track listing. The administrator can log into the site, upload new music tracks, control thier playing order, even assign them into groups to be displayed on the Music page. The administrator can log in, place each user into a group such as VIP's or Employees, and select which groups (if any/all) that will receive a newsletter. The site creates all newsletter code dynamically and sends out the newsletters to each selected group. The site also sends SMS event updates to users that subscribed to them, directly from the site. The site allows an administrator to dynamically add events, and a mini-event listing is shown on the front page, and a more intuitive event is shown on the Events page. Once the date of an event passes, the event is removed automatically. All image galleries are auto-sensing and auto-resizing, so the administrator does not need to have any HTML or web design knowledge at all. Aside from receiving in the past, rj45 cat5 wiring througout the office, an entire local area network setup, server and workstation setup, and wireless network setup, the customer has also received a new web site design, and custom programming in PHP and MySQL to allow them to add project images through FTP or via an online form and have the site "automatically" build out the project galleries and resize the images. The new GCI site also features a password protected contractor login area, where contractors can download many plans and images from current projects eliminating the need to ship CD's full of data, or have the contractor stop by the office. |

Thierry Corporation Paint Calculator Thierry Corporation asked for a simple to use paint calculator that allows their paint techs to enter information (velocity, strokes, thickness, and fluid flow) provided by an initial test run of their multi-million dollar production equipment. After the test run is completed, their paint techs would continue running the equipment, re-entering the provided parameters into the calculator and in turn the calculator would calculate new, cross-checked perameters (fluid flow, velocity, etc.) deliberately not entered by the tech to provide a perfect set of perameters for the next production run eliminating the need for hand-written math which in essence saves the company about $10,000.00 to $15,000.00 per failed run, which would be due to incorrectly calculated perameters. |
